We’re excited to report that Dominic Lee has joined the Zeitpace team as a software engineer. He’s a CS graduate out of the University of Guelph, and is already deep into project work here.
I find software development exciting and rewarding, because I enjoy the process involved with solving challenging problems, as well as curating the overall experience for the user to engage in. With the vast number of tools these days, It’s cool to see what people have created with a computer and access the internet, and to imagine how these creations can be used in new ways.
Right now I really like web development, because that’s what I’ve mainly been exposed to. But I like the idea of building web applications with mobile platforms in mind, since we spend so much time on our phones throughout the day. So right now I’m interested in any framework or library that can take advantage of a wide range of platforms.
Doing as many new things as you can (within reasonable bounds of safety of course), so you can see what you absolutely don’t like, as well as what you love and can share with the world.
I’ve never really visited the area upon till recently, but what I’ve noticed and felt is a community of people from a diverse set of backgrounds, that are either doing what they love to do, or are enjoying the journey to figuring it all out.
I’m a huge fan of music in general, and dabble in the production of music as a hobby. If I wasn’t building software, I’d probably be in a studio.
