We’ve been busy at Zeitspace and, as we announced a while ago, we needed to grow a little.
We’re delighted to announce that Fabio Nobre has joined the Zeitspace team as a software engineer. Fabio is new not only to Zeitspace, but to Waterloo Region, having arrived here with his family this past December. From where? Read on!
We asked Fabio a few questions to give us some tidbits to share here.
Why software development?
I think I was born to be a programmer. I started when I was young, about 9, developing with my brother on Basic using a computer based on a Z80 microprocessor. Then I read about Pascal, then Turbo Pascal, Delphi, PHP, etc, and I love programming and I can’t imagine myself doing another type of work.
What kind of development do you like? Mobile? Web? Something else?
I like any kind of development. My background is totally based on web. Last year, I started to read about mobile development and did some apps and I liked. I think I will like anything related to development.
Recommend one thing (maybe a book, movie, album, TV show, physical experience…) Why?
I recommend that everybody visits a beach called Jericoacoara. It’s one of the beautiful beaches in the world and it’s close to the city of Fortaleza, Brazil. If I could recommend something else, I would recommend listening to MPB, a Brazilian music style where we have great artists known all over the word like Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Vinicius de Moraes, etc.
What’s your favourite new discovery in Waterloo Region?
I’m new to the Waterloo region, and my favourite discovery was a small town with a great IT environment and a great place to live. A place that I love to go with my family is the Victoria Park.
Share a cool thing that folks might like to know about you?
I’m from Brazil, a beautiful country in South America with a great people and beautiful environments. I’m here in Canada for about 3 months and I’m loving this country.
Anything else you’d like to add that these questions miss?
I mostly like to be with my family, get to discover the Region together, watch movies with my kids and I can’t wait for Summer barbecues
